Description
20" (51 cm.) w. x 14"h. x 16"h. The early wooden
one-room Nuremberg kitchen sits on its original
frame with dove-tailed construction and has
original painted exterior and interior walls and
painted red and cream checkerboard floor. The room
has built-in all-around shelving and chimney and
is furnished with trestle table,chairs,benches and
open-hearth stove. The well-laden walls contain
mostly pewter tableware including 33 various
plates or shallow soup bowls,4 various bowls,1
large platter,1 covered tureen,1 oval lidded pot,2
salt boxes,spoon rack with soft silver spoons,set
of stacking covered dishes with leather straps,4
open pitchers,3 lidded pitchers,7 various
steins,candlestick,mortar and pestle,unusual jar
with hinged half lid and handle and,bed warmer.
There are also 3 copper molds,2 copper bowls,brass
salt box,9 brass skillets,1 brass spoon,and 4
stoneware jugs. Tinware and iron includes
lantern,rare oil lamp with wire shade,2 rare early
sieves,very rare cast trivet,axe and more. A
wonderful wooden Erzebirge breakfast set with
painted decorations is at the table,and the
kitchen is tended to by a pink-tinted porcelain
shoulder head lady with muslin body,porcelain
limbs,original costume. Excellent condition.
