Description
30" (76 cm.) w. x 13"h. x 13"d. A wooden two-room
dollhouse setting has red front columns with gilt
striping accents,lithographed-paper to simulate
tiles in both rooms,three three-paned windows with
lower windows that hinge open and are capped by
original wooden cornices. The opening door between
the rooms has lithographed-paper to simulate
paneling,and both windows and the door have
original Gottschalk silver knobs. There is
matching old wallpaper and complementary border
and matching furniture in both rooms. The
furniture is red-stained wood and has impressed
Art Nouveau-style designs. Gottschalk furniture
includes: grandfather clock,piano with hinged
lid,desk with green felt writing surface,plant
stand,trestle table,two chairs,marble top
wash-stand with mirror,bed,child's bed and grand
armoire. There is a crystal fringe chandelier in
the sitting room along with various accessories:
lamp,double inkwell,snow globe,frames,clock,and
more. Father,mother and parlor maid dollhouse
dolls are included,and an all-bisque child with
glass eyes. Excellent condition.
