10"(25 cm.) l. settee. Of lightwood with ebony finish that is richly gilt stenciled to emulate the
inlay designs of the French furniture designer,Boulle,the rare-to-find larger scale set includes a
wonderfully-shaped long settee and four matching chairs,all with magenta silk original
upholstery that is outlined in Dresden gilt metallic paper,and with a white marble top chest with
four drawers and white edging to simulate marble. Excellent condition. Germany,D.H. Wagner &
Sohn,circa 1885.
