Description
8" (20 cm.) h. mirror. The nine-piece set is of
light wood with lithographed-over-wood finish to
simulate rich wood graining,carving and decoupage.
The set comprises sofa and four chairs with
original forest-green velvet upholstery,dressing
table with mirror,tall pier mirror with lower
cabinet,and a grandfather clock with cherub crest
and lower cabinet. Along with an undecorated
wooden pedestal table that may be original to the
set. Very good condition,mirror has crack.
Germany,circa 1890,an exuberant and delightful
burst of ornamentation enhances each piece of the
rare set.
