muslin body,(restored) porcelain limbs,and wearing
an early silk gown,stands alongside her early
Biedermeier period wooden sewing table with
mahogany finish,white wood trim to simulate
ivory,lyre-shaped legs,cushioned foot rest; the
table top opens to reveal a well-fitted sewing
table whose embossed velvet lid has gilt Dresden
paper edging,as do the little green-paper-lined
compartments containing thread,scissors,awl,and
more. Excellent condition. Germany,circa 1875.
