5 1/2" (14 cm.) desk. Each has dark-stained finish to emulate mahogany and painted white
borders emulating marble,including desk with drop-front writing surface and decorated with
white columns and fancy interior niches; chest of drawers with gilded stenciling,unusual arched
apron,and set-back handkerchief drawers; fine display cabinet with black columns and mirrored
back; marble top table with tapered black legs,and two ebony chairs with gilded stenciling and
brown velvet seats outlined with gilt paper. Excellent condition. Germany,circa 1875.
