Description
31" (79 cm.) w. x 14"h.x 17"d. Two wooden-framed rooms have exterior cream paint that
continues onto the front columns with gilt accents,green painted base,three-paned windows
at each side wall with arched upper window and opening lower windows,and a framed
doorway between the rooms. There is old wallpaper in pleasing designs,and original
lithographed paper floors to simulate wood floors. The parlor is furnished with an Austrian
late-19th century glazed ceramic stove,wooden cabinets and display cases including blue-
paper-lined cabinet with Lauscha glass,carved piano,ebony pedestal plant stand table filled
with wooden pots of flowers,a superb gilt soft metal 7-piece parlor set with maroon velvet
upholstery,five ormolu framed prints,and various decorations including pair of earthenware
busts of Turkish couple,porcelain vases,porcelain flower pots,gilded metal bust of a lady,and
porcelain cherubs. The bedroom furnishings are highlighted by a wonderful set of wooden
framed chairs and sofa with crushed brown velvet upholstery and silk fringe,4 piece wooden
bedroom furnishings,oil lamp,soft metal jardiniere and umbrella stand,mirror,print,and tiny
soft metal toy set. Three antique bisque dolls including S&H 1160 glass-eyed model live in in
the house. Excellent condition overall. Germany,circa 1900.
