Description
5" (13 cm.) h. The matched pair of fire
screens,designed to sit on either side of a salon
hearth,are simply constructed yet functional. Each
has a wooden pedestal with three-legged
platform,and a protruding metal rod with
silk-velvet rounded screen. The screens are
designed to move up and down,and revolve on the
rods,allowing each to be adjusted for protection
from fireplace heat. Very good/excellent,some
fabric dust and edge wear. English,late 18th
century,very rare.
