Description
6" (15 cm.) h. Of fruitwood with richly burled top and having warm honey-tone finish,the drop-
front desk has an intricate sun-ray inlay with outlined pencil striping on the desk front,above
two drawers with tiny painted wooden knobs,and four tiny tapered feet. The desk front opens to
reveal a well-fitted interior with four very deep green-stained drawers centering a columned
archway niche with mirrored back and black and white diamond-checkered floor. Excellent
condition. Probably French,early-19th century.
