Large German Wooden Dollhouse Rooms with Rich Dark Woodwork

44"(112 cm.) w. x 16"h. x 17"d. The wooden rooms are presented with dark paint-grained exterior finish to simulate exotic wood grain; and the dark finish is continued on the room frames and the richly-carved front column. The interior woodwork continues the dark-stained finish with three-part window panes framed by lower paneling and steeple-shaped cornices with side finials. There is a double door between the rooms with paneled lower sections,glazed upper windows and matching cornices on both sides. The floors are finished with lithographed-paper to simulate parquet,and the walls have beautiful old wall-paper with complementary borders. A tall mirror hangs between the windows of the larger room. Excellent condition,a beautiful room for furnishing. Germany,circa 1890.
