2 1/3" (6 cm.) l. box. 2"l. fan. A fine fruitwood box with honey-tone finish has inlay lattice
design on the hinged lid,wire bail handle with carved bone hand grip,and a blue silk tufted
interior,with few sewing ephemera. Along with a folding fan with black lacquer handle,heavy
card-paper blades with muslin tape that is transfer-printed in delicate floral design. Excellent
condition. French,circa 1865.
