Description
3" (8 cm.) h. frame. Each portrait is painted on
ivory with exquisite detail,depicting a lady of
high social standing as indicated by
costume,jewelry and hair style. The portraits are
presented in original matching brass frames with
beaded edge and crown insignia at the crest. One
is ink-inscribed "Dorothea III" on the reverse,and
the other "Charlotte Ouralies(?)"
late-18th/early-19th century.
