27" (69 cm.) w. x 18"h. x 12"d. A wooden-framed toy shop with natural finish features two
large display windows at the front that hinge open for play,built-in shelves,double-door
glazed-window cabinet,and drawers completely enclosing the walls,and a separate sales clerk
counter. The shop is filled with rare and early wooden Erzebirge toys highlighted by a
menagerie with six caged animals,a stable with four horses,merry-go-round and other
carnival toys,articulated wooden dolls,tiny room settings (some in original box),wooden ten-
pins sets,and 18 miniature vehicles of all sorts with metal wheels. A feather Christmas tree
with candles and decorations sits nearby,while a bisque-head storekeeper stands at the
counter,and a little all-bisque boy in fancy blue suit waits to buy his hobby horse. Excellent
condition. Germany,marked Ges Gesch on the underside,late-19th century,an outstanding
presentation of rare miniature wooden toys.
