Description
8" (20 cm.) h. mirror. The three pieces are of
fruit wood with ebony,faux-rosewood
lithographed-paper,and have lithograph scenes
under glass decorations to appear as though scenes
have actually been painted on the doors and
surfaces. Comprising a hall mirror with scene on
the shelf of boys playing with toy boats,and
another scene below the shelf of a young girl
reading a book; a table with unusual pedestal base
and having table-top lithograph scene; and a
dessert buffet with upper scene of four children
at play in a park,and a door scene of little boy
with drum and parrot. Excellent condition.
Germany,circa 1880,illegible pencil signature on
buffet back,extremely rare.
