12" (30 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair, plump kid child body with gusset jointing, bisque forearms, lovely antique dress. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 5. Comments: Sonneberg, mystery maker, circa 1882, the model closely resembles early French bebes whose market it sought to capture. Value Points: especially beautiful example of the early Sonneberg doll with finest bisque and painting.
