3 1/2"(9 cm.) x 3". Posed upon a bronze ground with grassy and stone cover are a pair of gnomes with painted costumes,pointy caps,one holding a pick-axe,the other a lantern. The bronze has the signature of the celebrated Vienna bronze miniaturist Franz Bergmann on the underside. Excellent condition. Austria,early-20th century.
