40"(102 cm.) w. x 39"h. x 23"d. The wooden-framed home,typical of town homes of the
Nuremberg region of Germany,is three-storied (including attic) and has an unusual exterior
with original painted ochre finish with painted-brown half timbers and painted windows on
front and sides; the back of the house has 3 window frames and glass opening-windows on
each floor. The front of the house hinges open for access to the unusual interior. Each floor
has two set-back rooms fronted by a wide porch-like area with wooden railing at the front. A
beautiful curved wooden staircase winds from the first to second floors and has a nicely-
shaped banister railing. The attic has one large room with a separate access door and window
at the back. At the side of the house there are balconies with roof and balustrade on each
floor. The rooms have original wall and floor papers,and curtains with original cornices.
Excellent condition,well-preserved with original paint and finishes. Germany,mid-19th
century,unusual architectural features highlight the home.
