Description
6 1/2" (17 cm.) l. sofa. Of pressed tin,each piece is painted its original creamy white finish with
sculpted carving details on some,and painted gold accents. Included is three-seat settee along
with two salon chairs and two balloon-back salon arm chairs,each with original rose silk
upholstery (worn on settee) that is trimmed with Dresden gilt paper borders. With cupboard in
slightly smaller scale having gold outlines on all four doors,and an oval library table with
pedestal base and floral decoupage on the table top. Very good/excellent condition.
Germany,circa 1875,the pieces were shown in the 19th century Rock and Graner catalog,as
model #1947 for the parlor set and table,and model#1956 for the cupboard.
