Description
9" x 9" sofa surround. Finished in a very dark mahogany with gilt and ebony trim,and having
applique gilt metal trim,the set comprises: sofa with mirrored mantel surround enhanced with
full-length pillars; three matching arm chairs; curio cabinet with mirrored mantel surround;
dessert buffet with mantel surround,round side table. The sofa and chairs have original
patterned pale green silk upholstery with braid and fringe design. Excellent condition,one
applique tassel missing. Germany,circa 1920,the set was shown in the Paul Leonhardt catalog of
1924 as model #586 (see Cieslik's Lexikon des Puppenstuben und Puppenhauser,page 122).
