Description
8" armoire. Of finely grained wood with cherry and fruitwood stains to lend inlay and burled
detailing,and having carved aprons and crowns,and original pale blue silk upholstery and fringe
on chairs and recamier,the furniture features elaborate ormolu and silver mounts,faux-
hinges,and ball pulls on armoire and wash-stand. Included are double-door armoire with bottom
drawer,washstand with mirror in frame,bed with antique fittings,recamier,and two straight
chairs. Excellent condition. Germany,possibly Vereinigte Spielwarenfabriken of Walterhausen who
specialized in this style of decorative hardware,circa 1900.
