Description
13" (33 cm.) h. 6" dolls. Arranged upon a lithograph paper-covered base with wood-framed floral arbor is a wooden table and two chairs on which are seated little bisque dolls being served tea by the bisque-head maid. The table is set with various foods and dishes, and the dolls hold cups in their hands, while a little pup stands alongside hoping for a treat. When wound, a merry tune plays, the maid moves side to side offering her pot of tea, and the dolls alternately lift and lower their cups. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Zinner and Sohne, circa 1890. Value Points: wonderful state of preservation enhances the charming music and activity.
