Description
5"h. armchair. 3"h. table. Each is of very delicate pressed tin with faux-wood grained finish, the oval scalloped-edge table with birdcage support having a faux-marble top,and the chairs and stool each with pressed design to emulate fabric tufting; the upholstery "finish" is matte as though velvet, while the faux-wood frames are lustrous. Original finish with some minor paint loss. Circa 1860,possibly the work of Rock and Graner of Germany,or J&E Stevens of Connecticut. Very rare early examples
