Description
7" (18 cm.) A bisque-head doll with brown glass
eyes,painted features,closed mouth and brunette
mohair wig,is attached to original toy body with
tinplate hands,and is seated on a tin stool in
front of an upright tinplate piano,the whole
arranged upon a tin platform painted to simulate
carpet. When wound,the doll should lean back and
forth,moving hands across the keys.
French,Martin,early-20th century. The head is not
original,the toy is non-functioning,and may have
piano retouch. An appealing dollhouse accessory piece.
