Description
12" (30 cm.) x 9" box. 10" doll. A heavy card stock box has lithographed paper cover to simulate wood grain and with very artistic script labeling on the lid. Inside the box is a 10" German bisque doll with blue glass sleep eyes, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, blonde mohair wig in coiled braid, composition body, wearing original traditional costume, marked Halbig K*R 26. and two lidded fitted compartments containing various sewing tools and accessories. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Puppenmutterchen's Nahschule (and) Agnes Lucas (script on lid). Comments: Germany, circa 1910. Value Points: wonderful state of preservation of the child's sewing set, with especially fine doll in original costume.
