Description
29" (74 cm.) x 12" x 16". The two-room wooden doll
house has flat-front brown pilasters with cream
painted designs,green exterior with painted
exterior window frames to match the pilasters. The
interior has lithographed paper floor to simulate
parquet,matching in both rooms,and original very
worn wall papers,including a delightful border of
children at play in the smaller room. The simple
curved wooden cornices are accented with gilt
Dresden paper,lace curtains hang at the
windows,and there is an open doorway between the
rooms. Included with the house is some original
Gottschalk furniture including settee in striped
silk with surround,desk and stool,buffet,two plant
stands,screen,table,two chairs,and white
armoire,white dresser with mirror,and three-piece
salon set of sofa and two arm chairs. House in
fair condition,unrestored. Furniture very good to
excellent. Germany,Gottschalk,circa 1900.
