Description
5" doll. A porcelain shoulder-head lady with black sculpted hair and painted facial
features,muslin body and porcelain limbs with painted red boots,is wearing her original multi-
layered folklore costume and cap. Included is a velvet-framed miniature early photograph with
hand-colored details of mother with her two older children,the woman bearing a strong
resemblance to the doll especially concerning her costume. Excellent condition. Germany,circa
1870,the photograph has the original studio label of Hermann Schwenenke of Coburg on the
reserve.
