Description
5" (13 cm.) Solid domed bisque swivel head on kid-torso, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, lightly feathered brows, closed mouth with full lips, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed arms and legs, painted white stockings and brown heeled ankle boots, original silk dress and bonnet. Condition: generally excellent, reglue at right ankle. Comments: French, circa 1882, the mignonettes were marketed as "poupees de poche" (pocket dolls) in reference to their tiny size. Value Points: rare brown ankle boots, especially pretty face, original dress and bonnet.
