3"l. The oval-shaped engraving depicting a city scene,likely London or Paris,circa 1840,with
buildings,waterway,arched bridges and rose-tinged blue sky in the background,has a statue of
man on horseback,a yellow carriage with driver and team of horses,and pedestrians,in the
foreground. Exquisitely detailed with hand-detailed iridescent highlights,slightly domed glass
cover,and presented in a later gilded-ormolu frame. Engraving,circa 1840,frame circa 1900.
