Description
41"w. x 13"d. x 13"h. Three wooden-framed rooms with simple pilaster-defined front having
original russet and ochre paint has paneled opening doors between each room,five windows
with original wooden gilt-edged cornices,early wallpapers with borders,and early lithographed
paper floors to simulate parquet. The rooms are richly furnished,each with lace or silk
curtains,and each with a chandelier,notably green glass globe in the center room,and a lavish
crystal and opaline luxury chandelier with green glass bead trim. The furniture includes
ormolu parlor set and accessories including baby crib,towel bar,and frames,wooden
sofas,armoires and tables,and a variety of accessories including gilt porcelain tea service by
Limoges,and other porcelain vases. There are four adult dollhouse dolls,and two small bisque
child dolls. Very good/excellent condition,some color loss on ormolu set. Germany,circa
1885,an appealing scene of comfortable domesticity.
