Description
42"w. x 18"h. x 18"d. The two rooms are fronted by decorative pilasters and feature two
windows in the larger room and a single window in the smaller room with etched and green
glass. The salon windows have original wooden cornices and burgundy silk drapes. Original
wallpaper and floor paper is found in both rooms with decorative ceiling borders; the
bedroom ceiling border features a young lad and pup. The bedroom contains a set of white
wooden furnishings by Moritz Gottschalk and rare matched shades on ceiling fixture and
lamp. The rooms are lent distinction from a very rare attached ceiling with curved facade and
angled sides. The sides of the ceiling are of pebbled glass and the ceiling is paneled with
green and amber textured glass,with natural-stained wood frames on the inside ceiling.
Excellent structural condition,the original floor papers are worn. Germany,circa 1900,the
house is marked 2/48 (and illegible letters) on the underside. Provenance,ex-collection
