Description
25"w. x 12"h. x 12"d. Two wooden framed rooms have originally-painted mustard columns at
the front with forest-green stencilling,original interior wallpapers and borders,and original
paper lithographed floors to simulate tapestry carpets. The original cornices are painted
brown with mustard accents,and curtains disguise the three-paned windows with hinged
bottom windows. A richly paneled wooden door opens between the two rooms. The parlor is
furnished with mirrored armoire,carved sofa and two chairs with blue velvet upholstery,table
and various small tables,stands and accessories including two lithographs with matched
frames and an unusual-shaped metal clock. The smaller room is furnished with a dresser and
marble top stand,two small velvet-covered chairs,gold metal spinning wheel,pair of soft metal
wall bracket candle holders and tiny filigree silver furniture as doll's toys. There are three
bisque dollhouse dolls including a handsome gentleman with fulsome hair and moustache,an
all-bisque "child",and three tiny all-bisque dollÞs dolls. Excellent condition. Germany,circa
1890,a charming petite arrangement with unusual painting of columns,good furniture.
