Description
8 1/2"h. The heavy glazed ceramic parlor stove is ornately designed with upper section designed
as an architectural detail with columns and balustrade centering a window vase of flowers. The
bottom "stove" section has a sculpted flame. A very rare variation of the Austrian ceramic parlor
stove,these dollhouse-sized versions were made as miniature samples for clients,and,being
dollhouse sized,became sought-after treasures for the furnishing of doll houses. This is an
exceptionally well-detailed model. Austria,circa 1880.
