Description
7"l. sofa. Each of the 11-piece ensemble is finished in a limed-green stand with complementary
natural finish on various doors and trim,and each is trimmed with a painted enamel applique of
wreaths or flowered garlands in delicate pastel colors. The set includes a maroon velvet-
upholstered settee with mirrored-back surround; two-door cabinet with upper mirror flanked by
columns; another narrow cabinet with glass door having beveled edges; library table,display
pedestal,and six chairs with maroon velvet seats and maroon silk fringe. Excellent condition.
Germany,circa 1910,the similarity of the enamel applique trim to that on the dollhouse (lot #9)
suggests the same manufacturer. An outstanding original ensemble with beautiful
details,condition,and finish.
