15" (38 cm.) All-wooden carved polychromed figure of woman with perfectly oval face tilted slightly to the side, brown deeply-carved hair waved loosely from her face into a loosely gathered topknot at the back, large inset enamel eyes, carved very full lips, one-piece head and torso, mortise and tenon-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, wearing homespun blouse under woven tunic with tassel edging, blue brocade skirt. Condition: generally excellent. Genoese, late 1700s, attributed to the workshop of Pasquale Navone.
