19" (48 cm.) Pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,plump cheeks,blue glass enamel inset eyes,painted short dark lashes and eyeliner,widely feathered brows,accented eye corners,aquiline nose,closed mouth with accent lines,ears pierced into head,pale blonde mohair wig in elaborate coiffure over cork pate,kid fashion body with shapely waist and derriere,gusset jointing,stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: H. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,circa 1865. Value Points: pristine original condition with sturdy immaculate body,very beautiful original wig,wearing original black taffeta gown with blue fringe trim,Huret-quality boots,undergarments,jewelry. Included are three additional gowns of the period; the doll and trousseau was sold by Theriault's for the original family owners,and acquired by Vera Bryant.
