Description
20" (51 cm.) wheel base. 16" h. Of pressed metal construction with cast metal spoked wheels, and having leather covered roof, seats and front panel, the caleche has a brass foot rail, brass frame and hinges of hood, and ornate brass and glass lanterns, and is painted original black with red stenciling. Very good to excellent condition, the caleche appears to be a unique craftsman model, probably French, mid-19th century. Along with carved wooden horse on wood wheeled base.
