19" (48 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-lined bisque shoulder plate with modeled bosom and
shoulder blades,pale blue glass enamel inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted curly lashes,brush-
stroked and multi-feathered brows,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between
the outlined lips,painted teeth,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French kid bebe
body with gusset=jointing,bisque forearms with separately sculpted fingers. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: Bru Jne 6 (and circle/dot symbol,on head) Bru Jne N.6 (shoulder plate).
Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,circa 1880,an early model bebe. Value Points: very fine quality of
sculpting,with beautiful bisque,rare painted teeth,sturdy original body,wearing antique aqua silk
and lace costume,ruffled bonnet,undergarments.
