14" (36 cm.) Porcelain swivel head with flat-cut neck socket,on original matched porcelain
shoulder plate,painted facial features,brilliant cornflower-blue downcast eyes,thick black upper
eyeliner,painted lashes,lightly-feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with primly-set
lips,original kid body with gusset-jointed hips,kid-over-wood upper arms and knee
joints,porcelain arms from above the elbows. Condition: porcelain head,shoulder plate and
hands perfect,kid body original although darkened,original system of draw-string seating has
missing strings. Comments: Leontine Rohmer,circa 1860. Value Points: rarer swivel
head,gorgeous facial painting,original body with beautifully-sculpted hands,and very fine
antique gown and leather slippers.
