17" (43 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with plumply-modeled face,painted blue upper glancing
eyes,thick black upper eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils closed mouth
with accent line between the lips,blonde lambswool wig over cork pate,gutta-percha body with
dowel-jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent,some typical
repairs on body. Marks: (original Huret stamp on torso). Comments: Adelaide Huret,circa 1860.
Value Points: fine luminous porcelain on the classic poupee who is wearing a superb costume of
her era,comprising brown pique suit with black soutache trim,matching
bonnet,undergarments,stockings,and black shoes that are unsigned Huret shoes.
