Pressed bisque socket head with very full elongated cheeks,amber-brown glass paperweight inset eyes,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with accented lips,separately modeled and pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists,antique aqua silk faille dress,undergarments,bonnet,earrings,aqua socks,signed Jumeau shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 9 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau,circa 1885,their model known as "Triste" in reference to its wistful expression. Value Points: beautiful bisque and sculpting,the rarest size of the desirable Jumeau bebe,sculpted by celebrated Parisian artist,Carriere-Belleuse.
