17" (43 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with nicely blushed plump cheeks,blue glass sleep eyes
that operate by push/pulling on a wire mechanism in the torso (with mechanism visible inside
head),dark eyeliner,painted lashes,lightly-feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with
center accent line,brunette mohair wig,kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips and
knees,porcelain lower arms and hangs,beautiful frail antique costume. Condition: original very
faint firing line at the forehead,otherwise excellent,eye mechanism functions well. Marks: Brevete
SGDG. Comments: Claude Blampoix deposed this system for sleeping eyes in 1855. Value Points:
important historical doll with deposed system of sleeping eyes,beautiful expression and
