21" (53 cm.) Bisque socket head,blue glass sleep eyes,painted lashes,brushstroked brows with
feathering highlights,accented nostrils of well-defined pointy-tip nose,closed mouth with
accented lips,blonde mohair wig over plaster pate,composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-
jointed body,straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 13. Comments: Kestner,circa
1888,the model is known as the "A.T. Kestner" for its close resemblance to the French A.T. bebe
which Kestner likely attempted to emulate. Value Points: especially fine quality of sculpting with
deeply-defined features,lovely painting of complexion and features,antique school girl costume
includes pinafore,dress,stockings,shoes,undergarments,and bonnet.
