21" (54 cm.) Bisque socket head with lean elongated facial shape depicting an older
boy,painted blue eyes with deeply defined eye sockets,thick dark eyeliner,short feathered
brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,elongated nose,very full lips of closed
mouth,petulant expression,blonde mohair wig,composition and wooden ball-jointed
body,wearing antique school boy costume with matching cap,leather boots. Condition:
generally excellent,few very minor wig pulls at back of head. Marks: K*R 107 54. Comments:
Kammer and Reinhardt,circa 1910,the bisque model known as "Karl" was designed by the
noted Berlin sculptor,Lewin-Funcke for the firm's art character series. Value Points: one of the
rarest of the K*R series,and in a fine large size,the doll has exceptional quality of sculpting
and bisque,original wig,body,body finish,costume.
