18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head with oval face and elongated very strong throat,painted grey
upper glancing eyes in highly-defined eye sockets with black and red upper eyeliner and
feathered brows,accented nose,closed mouth with impressed dimples at the ends of center
accent line,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,shapely wooden body with dowel-jointing at
shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,metal hands. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Huret
(head) Huret 56 rue de la Boetie (torso). Comments: Maison Huret,Prevost epoch,circa
1915,the dolls were created as part of the Renaissance of the French Doll movement. Value
Points: particularly artistic painting of facial features including spiral-threading of
eyes,delicate blushing of the very pale bisque,with original wooden body,with "Frou-Frou"
labeled hoop,and owning an elegant gown.
