One-piece carved wooden head and torso with oval face and elongated throat,carved bosom with outline bodice,defined high waist,painted skull-cap hair with stippled curls onto the face,painted blue eyes with all-around painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth,dowel-jointing of shoulders,elbows,hips and knees with slender and elegantly-defined legs,painted shoes. Condition: generally excellent,nose tip finish worn. Comments: late- 18th/early-19th century,Continental. Value Points: very beautiful early doll with wonderfully modeled body and nicely painted hair with defined ears.
