Description
18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head with very pale bisque,elongated throat,expressive features,blue glass inset eyes,painted lashes and brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with center accent line,brunette human hair,wooden body with articulation at shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,swivel waist,metal hands with jointed wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Huret (head) Huret 10 rue de la Boetie (body). Comments: Maison Huret,Prevost epoch,circa 1910,the dolls were presented with a new "art" face,and having a slender body designed to accommodate to the new fashion era. Value Points: intriguing face whose decorative glaze on lower eyelids lends a tearful look,with rare original body,and with antique costume of the late 19th century.
