17" (43 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with painted boyish hair,painted facial features on
deeply-defined sculpting,small pale blue eyes,thick black upper eyeliner,painted lashes,short
feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between the shaded
lips,composition and wooden ball-jointed body,antique costume including plaid woolen
jacket,velvet pants,argyle stockings,saddle shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K&H (in
banner) 546 5 Germany. Comments: Kley and Hahn,circa 1910 from their art-reform character
series. Value Points: the rare model is superbly-sculpted with amazing definition of character
features including impressed cheek and eye dimples and double chin,finest quality of
bisque,wonderful costume.
