Description
5" (13 cm.) x 3" painting. 9"x 7" frame. A delicately-painted pastel on board depicts a mother
busy at her ironing tasks while a little child plays with wash tub,and clothes hangs on the line to
dry. Signed L.L. for Luigi Loir,the celebrated French artist who painted a series of miniature
scenes of children,some of which were printed in lithographed advertisements for famous
Parisian department stores. Excellent condition,beautifully framed. Circa 1885.
