14" (36 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with sculpted brown hair in side-part and waved
across the forehead,with comb-marked details of hair at back of head,painted pale blue eyes in
defined eye sockets,brush-stroked and feathered brows,red and black upper eyeliner,strongly-
shaped nose,closed mouth with firmly-set lips visible under thickly modeled
moustache,composition and wooden ball-jointed body,black flannel formal suit with
shirt,vest,tie,shoes and stockings. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa
1910,maker unknown,possibly a portrait of President Theodore Roosevelt to whom the doll
bears an uncanny resemblance. Value Points: rare model with superb detail of sculpting and
painting.
