5 1/2" (14 cm.) easel. Comprising a gilt metal folding easel with ormolu trim,maroon cord and
tassel trim,displaying a color-tinted early photograph of Austrian Emperor Franz-Joseph in an
ormolu frame with royal crown atop,with maroon silk dance card and pencil at the back. With an
early and very fine velvet and silk wrapped scroll that unfolds to list the dances at an 1865
ball,with pencil,blue cord,and belt loop. Excellent condition. Vienna,mid-19th century.
